A Little History:

Writer: Julie-Anne MorettiJulie-Anne Moretti

My paternal granddad was a Tailor Extraordinaire! He started working at the tender age of 7. When he arrived in the U.S. at age 18, he was already fully trained at his profession. I guess sewing is in my blood.

At age 10, I was offered a chance to learn sewing from a neighbor, and was supported greatly by my mom, who then also learned to sew. We became quite prolific sewists, spending wonderful, cherished, times together while I was growing up.

In my 20’s, again by chance, I accompanied a dear friend to a quilting class. I loved it and made a handful of quilts soon thereafter, and some more throughout the years.

After making those early quilts, my career, and raising a family took me far away from the sewing machine. With my children grown, I am back to quilting, enjoying all the perks of 21st century technology, exquisite fabrics, and all the wonderful people who have shared their knowledge.

Feel free to reach out to me with serious inquiries about a custom quilt for your home, for someone you care about, or both.
