Pattern: Garden Trellis

This quilt pays homage to the many beautiful gardens I have had the pleasure to visit in my lifetime. Versailles. Monet’s Giverny. Schonbrunn Palace. Mirabell Gardens. Biltmore Estate. And yes, even the New York Botanical Gardens in my home town, to name just a few. The quilt fabrics combine a solid, florals in varying scales, and a batik. The longarm stitching pattern is a languid rose, and the backing is a vintage-looking fabric created from letters Jane Austen wrote to her sister, giving the quilt a feeling of both antiquity and timelessness.
